We believe that God calls us to further His kingdom and bring His shalom to this world. At 14th Street, we work on doing this through lots of different arenas.
We support a variety of Missionaries from all around the world financially and through our prayers.
We tutor and give a listening ear to at risks elementary students in the Holland Public School system through the KidsHope USA program.
We care for God’s creation. God calls us to be good stewards of His creation and we explore ways to do this as a congregation. With events like “Garlic Mustard Pull” where we hike and remove invasive species from our local areas, and partnering with 3Sixty on a neighborhood clean up, we are always looking for ways to support and sustain God’s creation.
By welcoming and helping refugees from all over the world, we are reminded that we are all strangers and sojourners in this world. Every few years we have the opportunity to support a refugee family— in 2020, We were able to support a family from the Congo.
Through working with local partner ministries we can help our neighbors in need. We work with and support Cornerstone Ministry, 3Sixty, Positive Options, River of Life school in Benton Harbor, Habitat for Humanity, Good Samaritan Ministries and many others.
Every Sunday, we have the opportunity to support local and global ministries with our financial gifts. See the bulletin for more information about the ministries we are supporting during our service this week.
We appreciate when someone from our congregation or community shares their needs with us. It takes courage and trust to share this with someone, so we use discretion and confidentiality with each need. Through our deacons, We are often able to connect them with resources that can help.
Since 2021, 14th Street has been supporting the The Holland Bach Society. The HBS is dedicated to sharing the musical works of Johann Sebastian Bach in the Holland/Zeeland area. Click the button to the right to learn more.
